With an agenda of organizing members and bargaining and winning contracts, national union leaders and casino workers announced the formation of a Gaming Workers Council.  

As reported in the Press of Atlantic City, the Gaming Workers Council brings together the UAW, the Transport Workers Union (gaming division), the SEIU and the AFL-CIO. While helping dealers and slot technicians in Atlantic City win contracts is its “first order of business,” the council will be assisting in bargaining efforts in Las Vegas, Indiana and Connecticut, according to The Press story.
